Beyond the Big Three is a hard puzzle with plasma, superfluid, colloid, aerosol and liquid crystal among its eighteen words. It suits older students who already know solids, liquids and gases.
Changes is an easy puzzle with melt, freeze and boil. Changing State names evaporation, condensation, sublimation and deposition, and Phase Change Science covers boiling point, latent heat and absolute zero.
Three States, Solids, Liquids and Gases are easy 10 by 10 puzzles with everyday words of three to nine letters, such as rock, milk, steam and air. They match the age 6 to 8 range.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
