Pluto appears in Dwarf Planets and Beyond, together with Ceres, Eris, Haumea and Makemake. The planet puzzles use the eight planets from Mercury to Neptune, so there is no clash with how most classrooms teach the solar system today.
Try Inner Planets, Outer Planets or Moons of the Planets. Each has twelve words in a 13 by 13 grid with diagonals and covers ideas such as gas giants, craters and moon names.
The hard puzzle Astronomers and Pioneers lists historical figures such as Galileo, Kepler, Halley and Gagarin. It leaves out living people, so the list stays to scientists and explorers whose work is part of the historical record.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
