Start with Main Characters and Two Families. Both use the names students meet in the first scene. Then use Famous Scenes and Plot and Themes as review once the class has finished the play.
Many do: names such as Mercutio, Benvolio and Tybalt, places such as Verona and Mantua, and Shakespearean words such as wherefore and anon. The Shakespearean Words puzzle also includes words from his era.
One hard puzzle, Plays by Shakespeare, lists the names of eighteen of his plays for readers who want to go beyond Romeo and Juliet. All other puzzles stay with this play and its world.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
