Pi Day is March 14, written 3/14 in the US because pi starts 3.14. The easy puzzles Pi Day and Pie Party put the date's two themes side by side: numbers and circles, and pie.
Shapes and Counting Numbers in the easy level. They hide words like TRIANGLE, CUBE, CONE, THREE and NINE in a 10 by 10 grid, and every word runs across or down.
Famous Mathematicians in the medium level hides Euclid, Pythagoras, Archimedes, Newton, Euler, Gauss, Fibonacci, Pascal, Descartes, Fermat, Ramanujan and Noether, each with a short name that fits the grid.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
