Medium Veterans Day has words like VETERAN, HONOR, FLAG and BUGLE. The hard puzzle Remembrance adds ARMISTICE, ARLINGTON, TAPS and INFANTRY. Both can be used in a class on the November 11 holiday.
Election Day is a medium puzzle with VOTE, BALLOT, POLLS, PRECINCT and other civics words. It is nonpartisan and names no parties or candidates, so it suits any classroom.

Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
