How to use these May word searches
Give the For Mom puzzle to kids on Mother's Day morning, or set out a few at a May Day party. Teachers can use the Memorial Day and Cinco de Mayo grids as a short history warm-up, and the Graduation Day puzzle suits end-of-year parties. Care homes can run a spring-flowers hour. For Mom, May Flowers and Warm Days are easy 10 by 10 puzzles with eight short words that read across and down only, a good fit for ages 6 to 8.
Graduation Day (medium) has words like DIPLOMA, STAGE, GOWN and YEARBOOK, and works well for class parties and senior send-offs.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
