Safety First (easy) and Safety and Laws (medium) include license, season dates, bag limit, blaze orange, first aid and permission. They are vocabulary practice, not a replacement for a hunter education course.
The puzzles use names of game animals, gear, places, habitat and rules. They avoid anything about the kill or field dressing, so they suit teens and a mixed audience.
Conservation (hard) covers habitat, wetlands, flyway, duck stamp, fair chase, stewardship and restoration. Hunting Heritage (hard) adds people such as Aldo Leopold and Gifford Pinchot who shaped American conservation.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
