Start with Gods and Goddesses, Mythical Creatures or Heroes. They are 10 by 10 grids with eight words like Zeus, Athena and Perseus that run across and down, which makes them easier than the later puzzles.
The puzzles use the Greek names, such as Zeus, Hera, Poseidon and Heracles, not the Roman versions like Jupiter or Hercules. A few words, such as the constellation names, come from Latin.
The Trojan War is a medium puzzle with Agamemnon, Priam and Nestor. The easy Heroes puzzle and Quests and Journeys cover Odysseus, Jason and the Argonauts, and Myth Words includes the Odyssey and Achilles heel.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
