The puzzles use traditional tales in the public domain, such as the three pigs, the three bears, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel, plus tales by the Grimm Brothers, Andersen and Perrault.
Three Bears is an easy puzzle with porridge, chair, bed, bowl and cottage in a 10 by 10 grid. Try Fairy Tale Heroes next for a harder challenge.
Grimm Brothers Tales lists the real titles collected by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, and Andersen and Perrault names the stories of Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Perrault, including the Snow Queen and Donkeyskin.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
