Any of them works, but Camp at Night and Around the Campfire have a cozy feel for young kids, while Camp Safety and Hiking Skills suit older kids who are planning their next trip.
The medium and hard puzzles use real camping vocabulary: switchback, trailhead and cairn for hiking, bowline and clove hitch for knots, and tinder and kindling for starting a fire.
Pick Woodland Animals or Wildlife Watching. Younger kids can find the short words like OWL and FOX in the easy grid while older kids and adults work on the bigger medium one.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
