Try The Big Picture, Breathing or Eating and Digesting. They are 10 by 10 grids with eight everyday words like heart, lungs and chew that run across and down only.
The medium level has Circulatory, Respiratory, Digestive and Nervous puzzles, and the hard level adds Endocrine, Lymph and Immune, Skin and Kidneys, and Senses and Receptors. Bones and muscles appear in Bones and Moving.
The medium puzzles use terms such as alveoli, diaphragm, duodenum, synapse and myelin, which match typical grade 6 to 8 units. The hard puzzles go further with terms like glomerulus and thyroxine.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
