The medium puzzle Penguin Types has EMPEROR, KING, ADELIE, CHINSTRAP, GENTOO, MACARONI, ROCKHOPPER, MAGELLANIC, AFRICAN, LITTLE BLUE, HUMBOLDT and GALAPAGOS. The hard puzzle Penguin Species adds rarer ones, like FIORDLAND and YELLOW EYED.
Baby Penguins and Penguin Body are good first puzzles, with short words like EGG, CHICK, BEAK and FEET in a 10 by 10 grid. An adult can read the words aloud while the child looks for them.
and the puzzle Where Penguins Live shows it. It lists PERU, CHILE, SOUTH AFRICA, NEW ZEALAND and AUSTRALIA next to ANTARCTICA and the SOUTH POLE. Galapagos penguins even live near the equator.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
