Coins (easy) has PENNY, NICKEL, DIME, QUARTER and DOLLAR in a 10 by 10 grid. Saving Money and At the Store, also easy, add words kids hear when they spend and save their own cash.
Currencies of the World (medium) hides the euro, pound, yen, peso, rupee, franc, krona, rand, won, yuan, ruble and dinar. It works well beside a geography or travel unit.
They are vocabulary puzzles with terms like BUDGET, MORTGAGE, DIVIDEND and DIVERSIFY. They help you recognize the words, but they do not tell anyone what to do with their money.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
