Memorial Day honors members of the US armed forces who died while serving. It falls on the last Monday in May. The Holiday History puzzle covers its start as Decoration Day after the Civil War.
Flags and Colors, Parade Day, Cookout and Summer Starts use short everyday words in 10 by 10 grids. They fit ages 6 to 8. The battlefield and military puzzles are hard level and aimed at older students and adults.
Arlington Cemetery is a hard 16 by 16 puzzle with eighteen words, including the Unknown Soldier, the Old Guard, the Eternal Flame and the Potomac. Arlington also appears in the medium Holiday History puzzle.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
