How to use these Kindness word searches
Teachers can use the easy puzzles as a morning meeting activity or for World Kindness Day on November 13. Be Kind and Kind Words in the easy level. They use short words such as SHARE, HELP, SMILE, PLEASE and THANKS in a 10 by 10 grid, with every word running across or down.
It hides Gandhi, Mandela, Mother Teresa, Jane Addams, Dorothy Day, Desmond Tutu, Clara Barton, Harriet Tubman, Helen Keller, Henry Dunant, Albert Schweitzer and Elie Wiesel, all historical figures known for helping others.
Random Acts in the medium level lists ideas such as HOLD DOOR, PAY IT FORWARD, SHOVEL SNOW, FOOD DRIVE and COAT DRIVE, so you can search the grid and then pick one to do.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
