Themes include Animals A to Z, US State Capitals and Musical Instruments. How to use these Giant word searches
Giant puzzles suit a long quiet afternoon, a waiting room or a puzzle to share over a week, with one person searching in the morning and another in the evening. Work down the word list and cross words off as you find them. A small magnifier helps if the letters feel tight. Each PDF has the puzzle on page 1 and the answer key on page 2.

There are two sizes. The first six puzzles have 25 by 25 grids with 40 words each, and the last six have 30 by 30 grids with 55 words each. Each puzzle fills one full page.
The letters are small on paper because the grids are so large. A magnifier can help. If you want bigger letters, the large print collection at /large-print-word-search is the better choice.
Start with a 25 by 25 puzzle on a theme you know well, such as Animals A to Z or Around the Kitchen. The 30 by 30 puzzles have 55 words and take noticeably longer.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
Every puzzle comes as a US Letter PDF (8.5 by 11 inches) and an A4 PDF (210 by 297 mm). Print at 100% or Actual size.
