How to use these First Aid word searches
Use the easy puzzles in a school safety week or a scout badge session to introduce kit items and who to call. Safety trainers can hand out the medium puzzles as a warm-up before a certified first aid class, and the hard puzzles give nurses and students a vocabulary review. Each PDF has the puzzle on page 1 and the answer key on page 2.

They practice first aid vocabulary only. For real skills such as CPR or treating a wound, take a certified first aid course from a qualified instructor.
The easy puzzles use gentle words such as bandage, gauze, ice pack, scratch and bump. They avoid graphic injuries and focus on staying calm, asking an adult and getting help.
Outdoor Emergencies (hard) has snakebite, bee sting, heat stroke, frostnip, trench foot, jellyfish sting and rescue beacon. Treating Injuries (medium) covers sprains, fractures and blisters.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
