Dog Breeds, Dog Tricks and Puppy Love use short words like PUG, SIT, BONE and WAG. They are 10 by 10 grids with words only across and down, so they suit ages 6 to 8.
One medium and four hard puzzles are breed lists: popular family breeds, hounds, terriers and toy dogs, big guardian breeds, and herding and sled dogs. Each breed name is spelled the usual way.
The medium puzzle Dog Training has words like CLICKER, REWARD and RECALL, Dog Sports covers flyball and dock diving, and the hard puzzle Dog Show Terms uses HANDLER, GAIT and BEST OF BREED.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
