How to use these Catholic word searches
Use the easy puzzles in religious education class, a First Communion group or a parish family night. Catechists can pair The Seven Sacraments with a lesson, and Holy Week fits Lent and Easter preparation. Parish seniors, retreat groups and care home chaplains often use the saints and church history grids. Each PDF has the puzzle on page 1 and the answer key on page 2.

Books of the Bible includes Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Maccabees and Baruch, which appear in Catholic Bibles. It also has Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Isaiah and the four Gospels.
All seven: baptism, confirmation, Eucharist, penance, anointing, matrimony and holy orders. The puzzle also has sacrament, grace, communion, confession and chrism, so it works as a quick review for ages 8 to 12.
In Church, Prayers and Catholic Year use short words such as altar, pew, amen, Advent and Lent in a 10 by 10 grid. The Mass is a good next step for ages 8 to 11.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
Page 2 of every PDF is the answer key, with each word marked where it hides. When you play online, the Show answers button marks them on the grid.
