Life Cycle is an easy puzzle with egg, larva, pupa and cocoon. Metamorphosis is a medium puzzle that adds chrysalis, instar, molting and pupation, for ages 8 to 12.
Monarch Migration hides twelve words about the yearly trip, including Mexico, Canada, oyamel and overwinter. Common Butterflies also lists the monarch next to the swallowtail and the painted lady.
Butterfly Garden lists plants that attract butterflies or feed caterpillars, such as milkweed, fennel, parsley, zinnia and lantana. It pairs well with a planting day or a walk through a pollinator bed.
Easy puzzles (10 by 10, words across and down) work from about age 6. Medium puzzles (13 by 13, diagonals added) suit ages 8 to 11. Hard puzzles (16 by 16, every direction, backwards too) are for older kids and adults.
